The days are counting down to one of the highlights of the year for businesses and other stakeholders involved in promoting and embracing practical, sustainable energy efficiency in South Africa. The 2017SAEEC is a unique opportunity for learning and collaboration by bringing together key policy-makers, influencers, innovators, thought leaders, researchers, leading ESCos, government agencies, business leaders and stakeholders from diverse sectors in South Africa and abroad. The 12th Annual SAEEC (Southern African Energy Efficiency Confederation) Conference is taking place at Emperors Palace, Gauteng, on the 14th and 15th November 2017, and this year offers even more to delegates than ever before.

AEE Certification Ceremony Sub-Saharan Africa Indian Ocean Islands
Professionals who have achieved their status of Certified Energy Professional or In-Training for any of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) programs in the past year through the Energy Training Foundation facilitation services will be receiving their 40 year commemorative certificates. The AEE Certification Ceremony will be held in the exhibition hall at the 2017SAEEC Conference from 7:30am-9:00am on Wednesday, 15 November 2017. The recipients are the VIP guests at this event, but all attendees of the conference or the exhibition for 2017SAEEC are welcome to enjoy a finger breakfast and experience the proceedings with us.

These Professionals have attended the international training courses of the AEE, passed their international examination with 70% or more, and have gained sufficient experience in their field in addition to an AEE energy qualification to be awarded international certification with the AEE. 

CPD Points
The 2017SAEEC will be post validated for CPD points by the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (validation number SAIEE-1935-V) in accordance with the ECSA. In the past the SAEEC Conference was validated with  2 CPD points. All conference delegates registered with ECSA and signed in daily at the conference will receive an attendance certificate after the event. 

Exhibitions
Entrance to the exhibition hall is free of charge and as always visitors to this year’s exhibition will be able to pre-register. Many people have already taken advantage of this facility, with more registering all the time. The first ever SAEEC Conference Networking Cocktail Event for the SAEEC Conference will be held for all delegates at the end of day 1 of the conference. SUNREF South Africa, is proud to be partnering with the SAEEC by hosting a workshop as a side-event, on day two of the conference, 15 November from 11:00 to 12:30. Certified Water Efficiency Professional (CWEP) and AEE examination sitting
Newly launched in Southern Africa, the AEE’s CWEP program offers 2.5 days of training with an examination sitting on the 3rd day during the 2017SAEEC Conference. Join the CWEP training from 1pm on 15 November until 17 November and sit the examination on the 18th of November.
