The Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency is a synergistic group - the effect of a collection of energy management role players in our country is greater than just one person. NETWORK IN OUR PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY
Creating professional relationships is crucial, and joining our focus groups allows you to have a sense of industry security and trust.
From this, you will be able to support and help other members in reaching your professional goals. This is critical to your personal career success. We sponsor, convene and get invited (often for free as a partner association) to numerous events throughout the year that allow you to connect with your industry peers. Our flagship event is the annual SAEE Convention that offers a powerful opportunity to share ideas, ask for advice, volunteer as a speaker, showcase your products or services or hear breaking news in the industry whilst learning "best practices" or new ideas.
BECOME A COMMITTEE MEMBER
Becoming a committee member of our Board or one of our divisions or branches (eg the SAFEE, TIPSASA, MVCSA & ESCOs) affords you the opportunity to share, lead and learn – and make a difference. More divisions will be established going forward and as the need is identified.
FIND A MENTOR
Exposure in our Association and industry network means that you may find a mentor to help you with your professional needs or you may be in a position to become a mentor to someone else needing guidance or coaching. Giving back can be the greatest reward and benefit.

We provide an enormous amount of access to resource information such as: case studies, articles, white papers and books written by experts in the filed of energy efficiency. Additionally, the President of the SAEE writes regular Thought Leadership pieces whilst bi-weekly newsletter access is provided as a part of your membership privileges. Another reason to become a member is to learn more or stay informed about important issues in the clean energy arena. SAEE newsletters often include SAEE web links, providing important and useful energy management related information or tools which are only accessible to members. AEE AWARDS
Through its Awards Programs, the The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) acknowledges the important achievements being made in energy. By identifying those who exemplify the very best in their fields, the professional is honored and the industry is advanced. The ultimate award winners are formally honored at the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) each year, joining a notable group of prominent professionals engaged in the energy industry. AEE’s International, Regional and Chapter Awards Programs extend special recognition to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated notable contributions to the profession through individual accomplishments, noteworthy projects, or outstanding corporate energy programs. As a SAEE Member you will be able to participate in the AEE awards process.
