2015SAEEC: Going Mobile as we Celebrate 10 Powerful Years!
In the spirit of this year’s conference theme “10 Powerful Years”, the SAEE is pleased to bring you a powerful easy-to-use phone app to make your conference experience a little bit cool and a little bit tech, and to provide you with a great way to make sure you connect with the people you came to meet!
“This is something that will differentiate and project the benefits of the SAEEC as a world class conference, providing a platform for delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and the media to engage more effectively. Helping attendees organise their time better is a priority for us, and not least, provide something that would underline our sustainability policy, thus improving our greening strategy,” said Karel Steyn, President of the SAEE.
The Conference App will allow us to give you up to the minute news, announcements, schedule changes and relevant information by sending a instant push notification to our delegates.

“As the organiser of the 2015 SAEEC, I am acutely aware of the paper heavy nature of events – this not only has an impact on the world around us, but also on the costs of running the conference. The app that Green Business Guide developed for us can reduce the need for printed handouts, delivering all the necessary information to a delegate’s fingertips through a Smartphone,” said Erika Kruger.
Networking is a big part of our conference, however, due to the number of delegates, it can be hard to meet the people that you want to talk to in two action packed days. Our Conference App offers a solution as it provides a quick and simple way for our delegates, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors to network at our event.
Our free Conference App will allow for the searching and downloading of presentations, speeches, handouts and conference collateral, biographical profiles on our speakers, award winners – and more. Our delegates can simply select a file via the app, eliminating piles of paper and email attachments.
“Essentially, we are giving our delegates a conference in their pocket which we believe is progressive and responsibly green,” concluded Karel Steyn.
